i build companies and products for the creative economy. before that i worked across fashion and creative direction — with names including nike, thom browne and jw anderson — and was part of the team around maisie williams early in her career.

trying to make my own way as a creative, i kept hitting the same walls: middle-men taking a cut on both sides, no safe way to get paid, and brands with no real tools to work with talent. so in 2018 i started contact to fix it. today it helps creatives find work, get paid and own their careers — and the long-term goal is to support a million of them.

i also run my own label, reuben selby, and co-founded cortex, a creative agency and community. outside of work i'm usually somewhere between a studio and a spreadsheet — chasing good design, good people and good ideas.
